Slot Name: Monster Mayhem
USA Players: Accepted
RTG’s Monster Mayhem offers just that, a lot of mayhem that is caused by a few monsters, the kind of creatures that you would see in movies like Godzilla. The difference is that the monsters in this case are a rabbit and a cat. Smash and Crash are their names, and they’re going to make the game a lot of fun, while you spin its 5 reels and place your bets on its 50 paylines. You can expect a top jackpot of $12,500.
If you’re in the US, expect to be able to play this game, so if you enjoy it go search for it at your favorite RTG powered casino.
Betting & Jackpots
You get 50 lines, and the game asks you to use 50 coins at all times to cover them all. You use $0.01 to $5 coins, and you wager between $0.50 and $250 per round, making this a decent slot even for high rollers.
The rewards go up to 2,500 coins when the Footprint symbol forms a full combo of five icons, the cash value being at most $12,500. This being RTG, the usual Major and Minor Jackpots are also present, winnable at the end of one of the paid spins.
The city in flames is shown in the symbol which acts as the scatter in Monster Mayhem. You get paid 2x to 50x the triggering bet value when you have enough of these symbols arranged on the reels, even if they’re not on the same active line. This seems to be the only use that you get out of the City scatter, since it doesn’t trigger another feature.
The ones that trigger features are the wild symbols, the two monsters called Smash and Crash. They appear on their own reels, 1st and 5th, and on their own they are substitutes which are used by the game as part of regular combinations of symbols. They can even substitute for a scattered City symbol, which is quite rare.
The slot’s bonus game is activated when you have Smash on the 1st reel, in any position, while Crash does the same on the 5th reel. Those two reels get held, with the other three re-spin up to 10 times. Each re-spin gets its own multiplier, going from 1x for the first spin, to 2x for the second, and so on, up to 10x for the 10th re-spin.
It’s a cartoon style design, but they still managed to make the two monsters look menacing and not that cute, the rabbit especially looking like it’s on steroids. It’s the kind of game that uses 100% themed symbols, which is something to be appreciated and rewarded.
I for one enjoyed the game, and I believe you will too if you give it a chance. The payouts might seem low at 2,500x, but with 50 paylines present on the reels it’s actually a decent reward.
